Day-Trip to Skagway in a comfortable minibus or SUV (group size 3-12 guests). Follow the exciting footsteps of the Klondike Gold Rush featuring Emerald Lake, Carcross and White Pass & Yukon Railroad.
Our day trip to Skagway is an unmissable experience for all guests wishing to get to know the beautiful south of Yukon, the White Pass and its unique sceneries and Skagway, the coast and gold town in Alaska during a short journey.
On route to Skagway, we will make a stop at the glossy green Emerald Lake. Its water surface is saturated in intense colours caused by the deposited sediments. After we set foot to the Carcross Desert, the world’s smallest desert, feeling its fine sand, we pay a visit to the small settlement Carcross, where we will be able to learn more about First Nations’ history and explore the settlement’s restaurants, cafes and art shops. As we travel on South Klondike Highway, several opportunities to view the majestic mountains and landscapes offer themselves. At several stops, you will have the chance to photograph and film the scenery, and soon you will realize that White Pass and its exceptional landscape draw you in like it has drawn in many a person before. Skagway, once the point of departure for most gold prospectors during the big Klondike Gold Rush, is a colourful medley during summer when guests from all around the world stroll around its numerous restaurants, souvenir shops and jewellers. We will explore this thrilling town up close, not merely travel the trodden paths but serene places like a gorgeous waterfall. Both on the way in and out of Skagway there is a chance we will encounter the wildlife of the region, such as black bears, grizzlies, moose and other animals. We will pick you up at your hotel at 9:00 a.m. and travel on Alaska Highway and the winding South Klondike Highway towards Carcross and Skagway. In Carcross and Skagway, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy a tasty lunch. We will take you back to your hotel in Whitehorse at around 6:00 p.m. * Some of these attractions are only available seasonally and might not be entirely accessible within specified times.

Aurora / Northern Lights Hunting Trip in a comfortable minibus or van (group size 4-9 guests). Touch the Northern Lights!
Canada’s High North is famous for its nature, its wildlife, endless lands and above all, the mystical Northern lights. Aurora Borealis provides an astonishing spectacle in these areas, especially during winter. Our “Aurora Hunting” tour will take you to numerous vantage points, ensuring a perfect view towards the polar lights. Hot tea pops and snacks will be provided for you during this four-hour tour. If desired, we are happy to give you an introduction to Aurora photography and its beautiful subtleties so that you can take some unforgettable memories of your encounter with the northern lights. (tripod required) We will pick you up from your hotel at 10:30 p.m., leaving the city’s light polluted sky behind us and heading towards the northern lights. To ensure the best chances of gazing at Aurora Borealis, we will not travel to one pre-determined location but instead visit several different vantage points. We will drive you back to your hotel at around 2 a.m. Notice: While the northern lights are always in the night sky, their intensity is dependent on solar activity. Skies free from clouds are necessary to catch a perfect view of the mystical northern lights. We strive to ensure our customers have the best possible experiences, but unfortunately, have no power over the weather. Thus, we cannot always guarantee a successful Aurora Hunting mission. Despite climate change, temperatures in the Canadian North can drop to -30C and colder. Choose adequate clothing (layers) and make sure to protect the uncovered parts of your body, especially your hands and face, when photographing. Rental gear is optionally available.

Gold! This one word roared across North America in 1896, as hundreds of thousands rushed to the Klondike with dreams of striking it rich. Now over a century later, that passion lives on, as visitors from across the globe continue to trace the footsteps of the world’s greatest Gold Rush. Pan for gold, explore Miles Canyon, and learn the true history of the Klondike Gold Rush. With lakes, beaches, the World’s Smallest Desert and the small First Nations community of Carcross along the way, the Yukon Gold Experience shows the true breadth the North has to offer. We begin our journey at 10:00 am from the hotel, after our first stop at Miles Canyon we head on down to Emerald Lake, so named for its breathtaking, shimmering green waters. From there we’ll take a trip to see Carcross Desert, the smallest desert on earth before visiting the Indigenous community of Carcross itself. Explore the local First Nations art and history, relax in their local cafes, or stroll down the sandy shores of Bennett Lake. It was here that many stories of the Gold Rush began, as the prospective prospector started their journey paddling to the Klondike. Our final stop before we return to Whitehorse brings us to the ultimate goal of every gold-rusher: finding gold. After a quick lesson on gold-panning, you’ll be digging up deposits in no time. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to pet husky puppies, take photos with Gold Rush-style displays, and visit the Wildlife museum, filled with life-sized displays of Yukon wildlife, including a Woolly Mammoth. Our exclusive day trip to Haines Junction and Kluane National Park is a terrific opportunity to see one of Canada’s most beautiful National Parks first-hand.
